About Rockface Medicine
Medical conferencing is big business. The cost, which many of us now have to bear ourselves, is becoming prohibitive and finding study time is increasingly challenging. The negative environmental impact of conferencing is another growing concern for all of us and we are looking for a simple, affordable, high quality solution to our training needs that also has a low carbon footprint.
That’s what Rockface Medicine is all about. We put healthcare education back in the hands of healthcare professionals; we do away with the frills of modern conferencing and provide practical, straightforward, accredited CME that focuses on the knowledge needed to do the job. Rather than recycling the stuff you can find in a medical textbook, we teach the tricks of the trade, the ‘catches’ and the new information that help both practitioners and patients survive.
Our faculty are passionate educators - young enough to be enthusiastic yet old enough to be acknowledged as experts in their field – they are gifted communicators who make learning interactive, memorable and fun. Our combination of conferences, regional road shows and round table events – addressing topics that have been chosen by the members – and a library of online learning material, gives members access to education that does not place an excessive burden on their schedules, purses or the environment.
Rockface Medicine is an international community of those eager to learn and those eager to teach, where faculty are also members and members can become faculty if they share knowledge that adds value to the community. Most of our members are doctors and nurses but Rockface Medicine is also open to everybody involved healthcare provision – allied professions, researchers and people in the life-science industry - anybody who cares about keeping up-to-date with the latest medical best-practice.
If you are looking for high quality professional development opportunities that do not cost the earth - in any sense of the word – or if you have medical expertise that you would like to share with others, we hope we can welcome you to Rockface Medicine soon. If you have any questions or suggestions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
